Black Lives Matter Is Going To Figment NYC

Hey again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blog.  And so I guess it's been a while since I last attempted to sign into this Occupy Art blog, as I only find myself signing into this blog whenever I can drum up one of those Occupy Art or Occupy Art related shows in the New York City area, which seems to be every once in a blue moon according to those posts on this blog. And so on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day one thousand and something. And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast. And last year Occupy Art Went To Figment NYC 2014, and so this year it happens to be "Black Lives Matter Art Show Is Going To Figment NYC".  And in case you have been stuck in the stone age or hiding out under a rock and haven't heard, Black Lives Matter has something to do with all things police brutality and black people, and all things protest and beyond, or something like that. And so that Facebook event invite that I created reads as follows:

Hi everyone,

FIGMENT NYC is happening again this year and I am happy to hear that my Black Lives Matter Art Show has been accepted for the Figment NYC 2015 weekend, June 6th-7th @ Governors Island. Looking forward. Please come to my Black Lives Matter Art Show if you are there.

The Black Lives Matter Art Show invites you to create your own art posters from art materials and supplies that will be available for everyone. Participants are encouraged to talk about the Black Lives Matter movement as well as the artwork they have created through the open mic.

Black Lives Matter Art Show is inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement to discuss, expand scope, perspective and inspiration towards an ongoing series of future culture jams and events around this theme and time

Check FIGMENT's website for updated details on project locations and schedules.

FIGMENT is a free participatory art event that is 100% volunteer-powered. FIGMENT NYC takes place on June 6-7, with our minigolf course, treehouse, pavilion, and summer-long sculpture programs on Governors Island all summer long!

Occupy Art Was At The 9/11 Cultural Festival

And on this day finds itself another one of those Sundays that has rolled around. The day of rest, the Sabbath.  Or is that Saturday. And yet I find myself blogging away for some reason or another. And it also finds itself as the People's Climate March on this day that is going to be the largest climate march in history around the world and a #FloodWallStreet Mass Action to Shut Down Climate Profiteers tomorrow in New York City.  And it is also autumn on this day, or near autumn on this day of September 21st and that season of Fall is here in that country of North America according to that Gregorian calendar on the wall. And on this day also finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 1,000 and something. And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast, well sort of. And being that that 9/11 Cultural Festival  has come to pass, I feel as if I blogger should blog something on this blog about that event just for the sake of saying that that Occupy 9/11 Art Show has come to pass. And Occupy Art was at the 9/11 Cultural Festival. Or at least that Occupy Art banner was at the 9/11 Cultural Festival in First Street Green Park that finds itself in New York City. And whether or not anyone besides those actors from Naked Uncle Sam of The 9/11 Plays attended that Occupy Art Show as part of that 9/11 Cultural Festival, well that's a whole another blog post, save for Bread and Puppet Theater who where there and got people there to watch their play and saved the day. And thanks to that one reporter who made it that day also. And that Bread and Puppet garlic bread that Bread and Puppet Theater served at the end of this event, well that garlic bread was awesome. And that Bread and Puppet Theater Youtube video that finds itself posted above, well that just Bread and Puppet Theater marching band rocks. Ditto a few days later.... And that theatre video that finds itself posted above, well that's from that 9/11 Cultural Festival Script in Hand Series for those 9/11 Plays a few weeks ago.

And part of that 9/11 Cultural Festival Eventbrite description for that 9/11 Cultural Festival read something like:

The 9/11 Cultural Festival will take place 8/16 &  9/11 - 9/14 in New York City at The Playroom Theater, Medicine Show Theatre, First Street Green Park and Bowery Poetry Club. There will be a Script in Hand Reading Series and an Occupy 911 Art Show as part of the event. The World Premiere of a new play "Gaza Emergency Pageant"  by Bread and Puppet Theater Company will be the featured event....

The 9/11 Cultural Festival is a festival for peace in which an honest dialogue about 9/11 is encouraged through the arts, theatre, dance, music, poetry and the visual arts and crafts. Artists will be performing independent, original plays, music, dances, and poetry reading to commemorate the 9/11 tragedy.

And now that this event has come to pass this post was seen on the 9/11 Cultural Festival Facebook Page:

"Hi everyone,

Now that the 9/11 Cultural Festival, 9/11-9/14 has passed, we wanted to post a message to say thanks to the actors from The 9/11 Plays and the performers at First Street Green Park and Bowery Poetry Club for putting the time in to help with the 9/11 Cultural Festival these past few weeks and months. We would also like to thank everyone who follows and has followed the 9/11 Cultural Festival Facebook page during the 9/11 Cultural Festival.
Whether or not the 9/11 Cultural Festival will take place again next year remains to be seen.
Whether or not there will continue to be posts on this page for the 9/11 Cultural Festival and beyond remains to be seen, as there are a few different administrators for this page.
We can not think of much else to write at the moment. Good day.

And so what else can I blogger say except to post some photos and videos from that day that find themselves posted above. As a picture tells a story and a picture says a thousand words. Occupy Art. Occupy Wall Street Worldwide.

An Occupy 9/11 Art Show

Hey again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blog. And it's been a while since I last signed into this blog to blog about some Occupy Art Show that has been drummed up in that city of New York. And so Exavier tells me that he is doing a 9/11 Cultural Festival in that city of New York, and for whatever reason, an Occupy 9/11 Art Show has somehow found itself as attempting to be a part of this festival.  And I know that Occupy 9/11 Art Show somehow finds itself as part of that 9/11 Cultural Festival event because Exavier and that Occupy 9/11 Art Show Facebook event invite that I just created says so, i think.... Occupy Art Went To Figment NYC

And if I must blogger say, FIGMENT NYC was awesome. And that ferry boat ride that one takes across the water to get to Governors Island and all of its art, art and more art, well that was even more awesome to see New York City and all of its harbor views. And those one hundred and more art projects and art installations, performances and more that found themselves on Governors Island on this Figment NYC day, well they were even more awesome. And so this Figment event seems as if it wants photos, photos and more photos and colors, colors and more colors to be added to this post. And so Occupy Art Show was at Figment on this day and some of those photos from this Occupy Art Show find themselves posted above. And even more photos from that Occupy Art Show and FIGMENT NYC on this day find themselves posted in my Occupy Art Show @ Figment NYC Facebook event invite. And the Occupy Wall Street People's Puppets were there on this day also. And if I would have known that, I would have Occupy Wall Street People's Puppets went over there to see their show also. And so Figment NYC has come to an end this past weekend. And with that, that Occupy Art Show @ Figment NYC has came to an end as well. And so Figment is off to San Diego, Boston, Toronto, Washington D.C. and even more cities as well in all its Figmentness. And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 997. And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast, well sort of. Occupy Wall Street, Occupy Art Worldwide.
