Occupy Art Is Going to Figment NYC

Is there another Occupy Art Show coming up you may ask? Well at least I may ask is there another Occupy Art Show coming up. And so this time Occupy Art is going to Figment NYC in a week or so. And I know Occupy Art Show is going to FIGMENT NYC in a week or so because I was happy to hear when they sent me that your project has been accepted to Figment Project NYC email. And FIGMENT is a free participatory art event that is 100% volunteer-powered. Figment NYC takes place on June 7-8, with minigolf course, treehouse, pavilion, and summer-long sculpture programs on Governors Island all summer long! And so now Occupy Art is going to Figment NYC. And that Occupy Art Show @ FIGMENT NYC Facebook event invite that I created reads something like as follows:

Hi everyone,

FIGMENT NYC is happening again this year. Please come to my Occupy Art Show if you are there.

The Occupy Art Show invites you to create your own Occupy Art posters from posters and Occupy Art materials and supplies that will be provided. Occupy Art participants are encouraged to talk about the Occupy artwork they have created through the Occupy Art open mic.

Occupy Art is inspired by the Occupy Wall Street protests to discuss, expand scope, perspective and inspiration towards an ongoing series of future culture jams and events around this theme and time

You can locate Occupy Art Show at FIGMENT NYC in Nolan Park, 046 map code or use the official FIGMENT iPhone or Android app to find a spot when you arrive. The FIGMENT phone app and website will have up-to-the-minute data and details on project locations and schedules. You should download the app before you leave for Governor's Island as cell phone coverage can be spotty on the island-- just search for FIGMENT on your phone's app store.
Check FIGMENT's website for updated location information.

FIGMENT is a free participatory art event that is 100% volunteer-powered. FIGMENT NYC takes place on June 7-8, with our minigolf course, treehouse, pavilion, and summer-long sculpture programs on Governors Island all summer long!

And in all blogger honesty, Occupy Art is still trying to make its way to that Occupy Art Is @ Left Forum event that can be seen in that post below this one that it tried to drum up, or at least that I tried to drum up. And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 987 and Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast. Looking forward to FIGMENT NYC Weekend 2014. Occupy Art. Occupy Wall Street Worldwide.

Occupy Art Is @ Left Forum

Okay so it's actually Occupy Art will be at Left Forum in a couple of weeks from now as I find myself blogging this blog post and staring at this Left Form 2013 Mobilizing for the Ecological, nomic Transformation at Pace University, June 7-9 program booklet from last years Left Forum Conference. And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 976. And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast, well sort of. And it seems as if I find myself posting on this blog whenever I can get one of those Occupy Art Shows to show up somewhere in that New York City area.  And so this time Occupy Art happens to be at an Occupy Art at a Left Forum Conference Panel May 30th - June 1st, 2014 at John Jay College of Criminal Justice with Carla Cubit - Occupy Art, Paul DeRienzo - Let Them Talk and Chris Flash - The Shadow. And that description of that event that finds itself posted in that flyer above and on that Facebook event invite reads something like as follows:

Hi Facebookers,

I will be presenting an Occupy Art Show panel with Paul DeRienzo of Let Them Talk and Chris Flash of The Shadow at Left Forum Conference at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Sunday June 1st, 3:40pm - 5:40pm for anyone who can make it by. And those featured speakers at this event, well they seem pretty big I guess.  And that Left Forum description on its website describes itself as:

Left Forum is the culmination of the creative efforts of thousands of participants, panel and workshop organizers, and hundreds of volunteers who engage the gamut of conference organizing activities, from helping generate artistic events and panels, to outreach and involvement of a rainbow of organizations and individuals. The 2013 gathering involved 4,000 participants, more than 1,200 speakers and hundreds of panels, workshops, and events.  Left Forum conferences have included talks by Noam Chomsky, Arundhati Roy, Naomi Klein, Michael Moore, Cornel West, Bolivian Vice President Álvaro García Linera, Amy Goodman, Slavoj Zizek, Grace Lee Boggs, RoseAnn DeMoro, Cornel West, Chris Hedges, Marina Sitrin, M1, Nnimmo Bassey, Oliver Stone, and the Reverend Jesse Jackson.

An Occupy Wall Street Art Show

Hey again all. And today finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 68. And Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together are still moving fast. And Barbara A Solony has posted a video on her Facebook page of that Occupy Art NYC Show @ Theater for the New City November 12th, 4-9pm event that has since come to pass. Thanks for the video Barbara. And the description of her video reads as follows: "OCCUPY WALL STREET ART SHOW. VISUAL ARTS, BANDS, RAP, SINGERS AND POETS. AT THE THEATER FOR THE NEW CITY." We are the 99%. Occupy Wall Street art worldwide.

Occupy Art Is Here

Hey again all. That date for that Occupy Art Show at Theater for the New City that we have been blogging about for the past few weeks now on this blog is finally here. Okay, well that date for that Occupy Art Show, or is it Occupy Art NYC Show at Theater for the New City in that city of New York, is almost here and very near, as that November 12th date for that show finds itself a couple of days away as we post this blog post. And Occupy Wall Street, that global revolution of an event is still moving fast as today finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 55 and tomorrow finds itself as 11.11.11 with a host of Occupy Wall Street 11.11.11 events, 11.11.11 Occupy Central Park and 11.11.11 Occupy The Streets. Occupy The World events going on. And we have made a few changes to our Occupy Art NYC Show @ Theater for the New City Facebook event invite since we last posted it on this blog a while ago. We have added performance times for a few of the musicians and we are still hoping to have an open mic towards the end of the show. And even though that Occupy Art Show facebook event invite says that there will be a live video feed component as part of this show, we are not really sure if there will be a live video feed component as part of this event, though we would hope so. And that "After-party TBA" that finds itself mentioned as part of our Occupy Art Show Facebook event invite, well we are not really sure if there will be an after party to be announced after our Occupy Art show. We will see we guess. And we would like to thank the The Villager Newspaper for mentioning the Occupy Art NYC Show @ Theater for the New City in this weeks edition. And we would also like to thank Brent Felker - "the 99" who will be opening up his HD projector for anyone who needs it to show their films. So bring your occupy art, 99% films for Brent. Thanks Brent. We will be using the downstairs Cabaret Theater at the Theater for the New City November 12th and hope to have a few programs printed for everyone to read the shows schedule for that day. And as we mentioned before, this schedule is not set in stone and may be subject to change depending on the amount of people who show up that day, though we are hoping to follow some kind a basic format for that day. And that SinXero (SX) photo that finds itself posted above for that Occupy Art Show at Theater for the New City November 12th, well it just Occupy Art NYC Rocks. And that "PROTEST!" Art Show at Theater for the New City has since opened up at Theater for the New City since we last posted about it on this blog. And we would like to invite you to view the "PROTEST" art exhibition while you are at the Theater for the New City during the Occupy Art Show also. We would also like to invite you to visit Our Occupy ART NYC Facebook page to continue the occupy art discussion of ongoing events after our Occupy Art Show event November 12th has passed. And so that Occupy Art Show, or is it Occupy Art NYC Show facebook event invite reads something like as follows. We look forward to seeing you Saturday.

PROTEST! Art Exhibition

And being that the title of this blog finds itself called Occupy Art that seemingly wants to support those Occupy Wall Street protests with all things Occupy Wall Street art, it seems fitting to mention on this blog that Theater for the New City will be having a "PROTEST!" art show, in addition, or at the same time, or before, or during our Occupy Art Show at Theater for the New City November 12th also. And we would like to invite you to view the "PROTEST!" art exhibition while you are at the Theater for the New City during the Occupy Art Show also. Occupy Wall Street With Art

Hey again all. Today is Occupy Wall Street Day 43 and a lot has happened with those Occupy Wall Street events since we made our last post on this blog. And Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together are still moving fast, and even though Halloween is approaching and our Occupy Art NYC Show at Theater for the New City is still some time away, the date of that event has gotten nearer. And if you happen to be in the neighborhood, Theater for the New City will be having their Village Halloween Costume Ball this year again also. And our schedule is starting to get full for the amount of time that we have for that day, though this schedule is also not set in stone and subject to change, though we are hoping to follow some sort of a basic format due to the limited amount of time and space we will have at the Theater for the New City that day. We are asking artists to show up a half an hour or an hour before the Occupy Art Show is to start, to hang and display their work. and we are also encouraging everyone to bring slides for the projectors that we plan to have there, hopefully, and we hope to have an open mic towards the end of the event for all who may want to perform depending on the amount of people who show up that day. And that Facebook event invite that we have updated again reads something like as follows. Nobody Can Predict The Moment Of Revolution. We are the ninety nine percent. Occupy Wall Street With Art Worldwide.

Hey again bloggers. And as far as I blagher know, today is Occupy Wall Street Day 35 and that global revolution of Occupy Wall Street seems to still be moving fast. And our Occupy Art Show is still somewhere on the horizon, as being that the theater we plan to use for our show has limited space, we have decided to go with the schedule of performances for that day and it now looks like we may have a a clearer idea of who the performers are and what the schedule may look like. And this is reflected in our facebook event invite that we have updated.
And that facebook event invite reads something like as follows:

We will have an art, performance and exhibition pop up party called " Occupy Art" to be held at Theater For The New City on Saturday, November 12th from 4 pm on.
